    How do I access Petit Palais in Paris?

    Musée Petit Palais is known as the Little Louvre. The magnificent structure was designed by architect Charles Girault for the 1900 World’s Fair in Paris. The collection of Petit Palais consists mainly of paintings by French artists from the 19th and 20th centuries. The permanent collection of the museum is free to visit.

If you also wish to visit the museum’s temporary exhibitions, you’ll need an entry ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the cash registers at the entrance of the museum.

    Visit the Gardens of Petit Palais

    A pleasant coffee bar can be found in the lovely garden in the courtyard of Petit Palais. You can enjoy a cup of coffee and a French treat there. The museum’s garden is peaceful and serene, with an assortment of magnificent exotic flora.

    Grand Palais

    Grand Palais is a massive exposition hall across the street from Petit Palais. The beautiful buidling has a rooftop completely made of glass and was built for the 1900 World’s Fair in Paris. The impressive rooftop is constructed with Art Nouveau ironwork and glass. Today, there are no permanent museums inside Grand Palais.

    How do I get to Petit Palais?

    Given that Petit Palais is located in the heart of Paris, the museum can easily be reached by foot.

    If you don’t feel like walking, then the Paris metro is a convenient and easy way to visit Petit Palais. The beautiful museum can be reached via Lines 1 or Line 13 at the Champs-Élysées–Clemenceau stop, or via Line 9 at the Franklin D. Roosevelt stop.
